Coorg is a mountainous district in the Indian southern state of Karnataka, approximately 260 kilometers from Bangalore Center and 1,525 meters above sea level. It is well renowned for its friendly inhabitants and fantastic scenery with attractions such as the mountains, woodlands, and a wide variety of wildlife.
Coorg is often referred to as the Scotland of East by the Scots in British Army, who occupied the area from the 1830s until independence in 1947. The district is officially known as Kodagu. Lonely Planet has regarded Coorg as the most underrated destination in India.
Madikeri is a hill town in southern India. Framed by the Western Ghats mountain range, it’s known for the Raja’s Seat, a simple monument overlooking forests and rice paddies. In the center, the 17th-century Madikeri Fort features 2 stone elephants at the entrance. Nearby, the domed Omkareshwar Temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva.

Reach mangalore station by 5.00 am. And start your journey towards Coorg immediately (3-4hrs), en route have breakfast. Check-in to our stay & Freshen up. Get ready for the next adventure! witness the majestic view of the Famous Abbey Falls. Later get ready for adventures off-roading ride to Mandalpatti Peak. The Peak is 4050 feet above the sea level and offers some of the exquisite views in South India. Mandalpatti Peak is famous for bumpy Jeep trails to witness stunning scenes of high Western Ghats. Head towards Raja's Seat. The place is called as Raja’s Seat because it was the place where Coorg’s kings used to visit and enjoy the scenic beauty around. The sunset and sunrise make for a mesmerising view which is worth captivating in your cameras. later get back at the stay. Bonfire, dinner. Rest !

After breakfast, we’ll first visit Chiklihole Dam, a peaceful spot where nature meets a stunning man-made reservoir. Next up is the Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) — a calm, spiritual escape and one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India. Then we’ll head to the Elephant Camp to spend some time with the gentle giants. If time permits, we’ll also explore Nisargadhama. Later, enjoy some time at the local market to experience Coorg’s famous coffee and spices. Dinner and rest back at the stay!

Good Morning, have breakfast and Checkout immediately. Visit Omkareshwar temple. later explore the Coffee Plantation. Get the perfect caffeine kick experience as you take a tour at these coffee plantations in Coorg. Widely known as ‘The Coffee County” a visit to Coorg incomplete without experiencing a walk through the coffee plantation trails. If time allows Visit Madikeri Fort. Then leave for mangalore station. Reach Mangalore Station & board your train for the return journey.

- Pre-booked Tickets: Train tickets are booked in advance by the Bhatakna team to ensure confirmed seats, subject to availability at the time of booking.
- Berth & Seat Allocation: Berths (Upper/Middle/Lower) are allotted by Indian Railways. Specific preferences (like lower berth or window seat) cannot be guaranteed.
- Group Seating: While we try to keep group members seated together, final seat allocation is handled by Indian Railways and may vary.
- Waiting List & Tatkal Charges: If a ticket is in waiting status during booking, we may proceed with Tatkal to ensure confirmation. Any additional Tatkal charges will be added to the trip cost.
- Alternate Arrangements in Tatkal Cases: If a confirmed ticket isn’t secured under Tatkal (AC/Non-AC), alternate train or transport will be arranged based on availability. Bhatakna won’t be liable for time changes. Fare difference, if any, will be applicable.
- Extra Charges by Railway Authorities: If railway authorities impose any fines or charges on pre-booked tickets, the customer will be responsible for covering those costs.
- Ticket Responsibility: Customers opting for pre-booked train tickets are advised to check their ticket details, PNR status, and validity on official railway platforms.
- AC Package Booking Policy: If you’ve opted for a 3AC or 2AC package and tickets are not available in advance, we will attempt to book your ticket under Tatkal quota. If Tatkal AC tickets are not confirmed, your booking will be transferred to Non-AC Sleeper Class, and our team will inform you personally about the change. The fare difference, if any, will be adjusted accordingly.
- Cancellations & Refunds: Train ticket cancellations follow Indian Railways’ rules. Refunds (if applicable) will be processed as per their policy.
- Train Delays or Cancellations: Bhatakna is not liable for delays, rescheduling, or cancellations by Indian Railways. We’ll assist with alternatives wherever possible. In rare situations where railway authorities impose a fine or cost on a prebooked ticket, that amount will be payable by the customer.

Incase you fail to pay the second installment the organizer holds the right to cancel your bookings.
Boarding will be denied incase of non payment and the seat will be allotted to someone else.
Incase of non payment the advance amount paid is not refundable.
